Water Storage Tanks

The School of Science and Technology (SST) is expanding with a new high school in Houston, Texas. Construction of the SST Champions High School campus includes a three-story building with a pump room connecting to a 23,500-gallon combination BreakTank® water storage system provided by ParkUSA. Due to low municipal water pressure, the City of Houston recommends buildings three stories or taller to have a break tank on site to hold water for fire protection.

The ParkUSA team worked closely with the general contractor to custom design and fabricate this BreakTank® to fit the precise spacing requirements and fire protection system fixtures of the site. One of the largest break tanks Park has manufactured to date, delivery required police escorts and an electrician for power lines.
