Our Inline Polymer System comes standard with a peristaltic type pump that is simple to maintain and passes polymer “fisheyes” that could clog other pumps.
MixCat™ Inline Polymer Systems are adjustable for varying flow rates, solids concentrations, and dosing.
All components are mounted on a compact powder-coated steel stand.
The Park Process MixCat™ is an advanced Inline Polymer Mixing System that efficiently conditions sludge for dewatering. It is designed for use with liquid polymer for the continuous delivery of a blended dilute polymer solution into the sludge stream. The system utilizes city water pressure to activate and deliver the dilute polymer solution.
The MixCat™ comes equipped with a low-maintenance peristaltic type polymer pump. This pump passes polymer “fisheyes” that could plug up a diaphragm type metering pump. The pump is simple to maintain with only the peristaltic tube requiring periodic replacement. A check valve is installed in the discharge line of the system to prevent fluid from backing up into the MixCat™ when the system is shut down.
A calibration tube allows the operator to determine the flow of neat polymer at various pump settings. These figures, along with the flow rate of water (which is displayed on the water rotameters – adding both incoming and post dilution flows), will assist the operator in making polymer solutions of varying strengths.
Neat polymer is pumped into the water stream (supplied by the city water or pressurized water system), where it immediately passes through a series of static mixers, which produces a thoroughly blended solution. A post-dilution line installed in the system allows incoming water to be sent into the mixed solution downstream of the first set of static mixers (to help enhance the blending of the polymer with water, if necessary). A second set of static mixers further mixes and blends the solution prior to injection into the sludge stream. A low-flow switch installed in the system will shut off the polymer pump if water pressure falls below a predetermined amount.
Park Process’ Inline Polymer System efficiently conditions sludge for dewatering with belt presses, centrifuges, dewatering containers, filter presses, clarifiers, screw presses, fan filters, and other flocculation applications.
Our Inline Polymer System can be used with Park Process Dewatering Containers to effectively separate liquids from domestic sewage sludge to form biosolids, which can be treated for use as fertilizers and soil amendments.
The MixCat prepares alum sludge produced during wastewater treatment and drinking water purification processes for dewatering with the use of flocculants.
Grease trap disposal facilities utilize polymer mixing systems in conjunction with dewatering containers to separate and filter grease and other solids from wastewater.
Utilizing a dewatering process aided by Park Process’ Inline Polymer Mixing System and Dewatering Containers, septic pumpers can compliantly manage waste streams that cannot be economically disposed of or accepted at municipal wastewater treatment plants.
