Manufactured with heavy-duty carbon steel (or optional stainless steel) for long-lasting durability and performance.
Effectively dewaters gritty or sandy-type waste streams without the need for flocculation.
GritCat™ dewatering containers are available in dump-hopper, front-loader, roll-off, trailer-mounted, or stand-mounted models in a variety of configurations and sizes.
Disposing of liquid sludge is more costly than solid waste. Our system efficiently removes water from sludge, resulting in reduced transportation and disposal costs.
The GritCat™ offers a cost-effective way to collect, dewater, transport, and dump sludges, slurries and wet solids using reusable filter media. The system is designed for gritty or sandy-type waste streams that typically do not require the use of a coagulant or flocculant for dewatering.
The GritCat™ is manufactured in a variety of sizes and configurations customizable to your application-specific needs. Reusable filter media is secured to the floor by bolts and brackets. It is available in standard 260-micron woven polyester belt press cloth or optional wire mesh in 44-22,000 microns. Filter support panels are made of expanded metal and a perforated plate basket. Heavy-duty carbon steel or stainless steel construction ensures long-lasting durability that can keep pace with your site operations.
Our dewatering system offers optimal performance in a range of applications, including wastewater treatment plants, vac truck waste, industrial plant sump waste, and truck and heavy equipment wash basin waste.
The GritCat™ dewatering system uses a combination of reusable filter media and gravity to separate solids from liquids in waste streams. When a sludge or slurry is pumped into the container, it flows through the filter media, which acts as a physical barrier. The filter media allows liquids to pass through while capturing and retaining solids. The solids form a layer or cake on top of the filter media, and water continues to flow through the filter media and exits through the outlet drain ports.
Once the container is full or the cake layer reaches a certain thickness, the cake can be removed and disposed of. A rinse of the filter media prepares it for reuse in the next dewatering cycle. Utilizing reusable filter media minimizes replacement time and costs and maximizes the operational efficiency of the dewatering system.
Park Process’ dewatering systems with disposable filter media effectively remove liquids from challenging sludges, slurries, and wet solids with hassle-free cake and filter disposal.
Dewatering containers help water treatment plant operators efficiently separate and remove solids from wastewater, allowing filtered water to move onto the next phase of treatment or discharge.
The GritCat™ offers a flexible and convenient dewatering solution for vac trucks, reducing trips to the landfill and keeping trucks working on the jobsite.
Dewatering is a critical step in properly managing sump waste streams produced and collected on industrial plant sites.
Dirt and debris that accumulate in wash basins can be easily removed using a GritCat™ dewatering system. This allows for proper disposal of solids and reclamation of water for reuse.
