Manufactured with a heavy-duty polyethylene polymer tank and carbon steel skid for long-lasting durability and performance.
Batch system makes polymers more effective in reacting with sludge solid particles, resulting in more efficient dewatering.
PolyCat™ Batch Polymer Systems are available in a variety of configurations and sizes customizable to your sludge treatment needs.
The PolyCat™ typically uses less polymer per pound of sludge treated, making it a cost-effective alternative to inline polymer mixing systems.
Park Process’s PolyCat™ Batch Polymer System is designed for the preparation of liquid polymer to aid in the flocculation of sludge in the dewatering process. The PolyCat™ is a cost-effective alternative to inline polymer mixing systems, typically using less polymer per pound of sludge treated. The batch tank method allows for the time necessary to uncoil the long chain polymer molecules, making them more efective in reacting with sludge solid particles. The PolyCat™ system is used in conjunction with standard solid separation devices, dewatering boxes, centrifuges, belt presses, filter presses, and other equipment requiring flocculation to enable dewatering.
The Park Process PolyCat™ works by preparing and injecting a polymer solution into a process stream in batches. To prepare a batch of polymer solution, a specific amount of polymer is gradually added to the mixing tank filled with water to ensure an even, clump-free solution. The solution is then mixed until the polymer is fully dissolved. PolyCat™ tanks are equipped with an agitator, which creates a vortex in the water to ensure thorough mixing. After mixing, the polymer solution is allowed to mature. During this phase, the polymer chains uncoil and hydrate, which is necessary for the polymer to be effective in reacting with sludge solid particles.
Once the polymer solution is ready, it is injected into the process stream. The PolyCat™ utilizes a Wobble-Stator progressive cavity dilute polymer injection pump, which delivers the polymer solution at a controlled rate. While one batch of polymer solution is being used, the system can start preparing the next batch. This ensures a continuous supply of polymer solution for the process.
Park Process’ Batch Polymer System efficiently conditions sludge for effective dewatering in flocculation applications.
Our Batch Polymer System can be used with Park Process Dewatering Containers to effectively separate liquids from domestic sewage sludge to form biosolids, which can be treated for use as fertilizers and soil amendments.
The PolyCat prepares alum sludge produced during wastewater treatment and drinking water purification processes for dewatering with the use of flocculants.
Grease trap disposal facilities utilize polymer mixing systems in conjunction with dewatering containers to separate and filter grease and other solids from wastewater.
Utilizing a dewatering process aided by Park Process’ Batch Polymer Mixing System and Dewatering Containers, septic pumpers can compliantly manage waste streams that cannot be economically disposed of or accepted at municipal wastewater treatment plants.
