Blue Bell Creameries is a national ice cream manufacturer with multiple manufacturing and distribution centers across the nation. Recently, Blue Bell decided to expand the Brenham, Texas location. The expansion adds roughly 100,000 square feet to the cold storage and production facilities. ParkUSA was selected to provide an Elevator Sump System for this location.
The new project facility includes an automated pallet rack system and multiple freight and passenger elevators. These elevators are spread throughout the facility. To protect the public sewer system and to be compliant with the new ASTM elevator code, the ParkUSA EleVader™ system was specified. The elevator model EC system was used for its flexibility in handlinge several sources of drainage. One Oil water separator could be used to manage wastewater for multiple elevator shafts and a separate trench drain from an equipment service area.
